Laura, We are now back since about one week from our trip to Ecuador and the only comment we have is that everything organized by you was excellent. The Hotel in Quito was our "basic camp" to start the different trips we could store here parts of our belongings which we didn't need for the different tour parts and that was really helpful. We enjoyed every part of the trip. The guides have been very got prepared and had an excellent knowledge. The board trip on board of the SULIDAE was incredible.
The visit in the Amazon area was very well organized. Many thanks to you that you have booked that Lodge for us. Special thanks to Edison in Quito and to Eddy in Cuenca. Both guides changed on our request the daily used language from English to Spain because we tried to improve our Spanish knowledge. In order to close my report I would like to thank you very much for you excellent work and I am pretty sure that sooner or later we will contact you once again to ask you for help for our future travel planning's. Best regards, Stephan

We talked about what a wonderful job you did the whole time. Your wonderful hand-picked hotels were awesome. The people(staff) at Arenal were amazing. We saw a good portion of the volcano.
Monteverde was rustic. Electricity @ 5:00 was always exciting. We really enjoyed ourselves and it was beautiful!!! Our room and location and view in Tamirindo was out of this world!!!
We had so much fun. All the other guests staying there were really cool and we made a lot of friends. GPS was a good choice for our vehicle. We never got lost. I could go on and on, it was amazing with memories that will last a lifetime!!!!!
Thanks so much, Katie J.

Laura,
The personnel were fantastic. From Oscar who met our plane, to the ships personnel, they were without a question the best at their jobs. The ship accommodations were great as well. The hotel was adequate, it was aging but the facilities were acceptable. We enjoyed new year's eve on the streets. All in all we're quite pleased with our experience. Hans.

Mauricio, Many, Many thanks for organising a great 10 day trip for us in Costa Rica. The choices that you decided for us as a family of 5 with teenage daughters were pretty spot on. They enjoyed the animals especially at the Peace Lodge were incredible. We would have enjoyed a couple more days their, if we had known how unique it was as a place. The accommodation at Playa Conchal was great too and El Establo, but unfortunately the Lodge at Arenal was uncomfortable, even though the view was incredible and the place was clean the beds were very hard!! All in all it was a great trip. The trips by van went without a hitch and the drivers from Interbus were courteous and helpful, even thought there was abit of a language barrier. I would highly recommend you to our friends, thank you again for all your help and for being super efficient. All the best, Belinda Goldring.

Laura, we had a nice time in Chile and want to thank you for your efforts in making the arrangements for us. All of the tours were interesting and worthwhile. I have to tell you that the Los Buenos Muchachos was quite fun. I would recommend it for your clients who like music and like to dance. Apparently, there were quite a number of people who wanted a New Years Eve reservation who could not get in because the place was packed. Entire families spend New Years Eve at this place, including children from aged 2 years to grandparents. We had more fun that on any other New Years Eve in our life and we are 60 years old. People from other tables around us asked us to dance and showed us the dances of Chile.
They fed us, gave us an entire bottle of red wine, and had a folk dance show, complete with all kinds of costumes and very good dancers. They had an emcee who created excitement in the crowd. They danced the National Chilean Dance and taught us -- it is a fast dance with a handkerchief. Then they did a medley of American disco dances and the dancers dressed the part, complete with Afro wigs. This was followed with a medley of latin disco dances. Everyone was on the floor dancing. It was packed. We had so much fun.
The best thing is this. Apparently, they have a great party at this place every single weekend that is pretty much like the fun we had............so you can probably send your clients here if they are not in the country on New Years Eve.
We really liked our accommodations at the Kimal Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. It is very clean & comfortable. The architecture is exquisite. They played music in the courtyard during the afternoon, so I could sit outside by my room, read a book, and be serenaded with great music. Their service is also excellent. The Kimal is only 1/2 block from mainstreet so it was very easy to get water and food when we needed it. The best restaurant is Adobe. It is located on the mainstreet. Thanks again for helping us arrange a very nice trip. We will contact you again and are thinking about Buenos Aires for next New Year's Eve. Would you have any contacts or programming for that area? Laura, Safely returned to Strasbourg, my wife and I would like to say how much we enjoyed our journey: organisation perfect (even coping well with inability of plane to land in Quito from Panama due to weather), guides and ship very good and the Islands and inhabitants quite superb. Only one disappointment: no sharks, but perhaps better that way. With all best wishes, Jonathan and Maria Rosa S.

We found Latin Discover to be invaluable for planning our trip to Costa Rica. We contacted a number of online travel agencies to locate lodging for us, Latin Discover & Mauricio were the ONLY ones to even respond. Given the short lead time and booking during the high season, we were surprised that Latin Discover put together a very enjoyable itinerary.

Mauricio, We had a fantastic time in Belize. Your arrangements were wonderful. We had no problems getting from place to place; there was always someone to take care of us. We loved the Five Sisters. The people there made us feel very welcome. The place was enchanting.
Our tour guides were very good, especially one named Elmo who took us to Caracol and the Barton Creek Cave. We loved seeing the Mayan ruins - it was an amazing experience. The only activity my sister and I had some trouble with was the horseback day. We did fine with all the other tours. Our stay at Belizean Shores was also so enjoyable. The place is very lovely and the pool is super. We loved that we had a unit right off the beach overlooking the ocean. The staff was very nice as well.
We visited the neighboring lodges for dinners by walking down the beach in the dark - a very different experience for us. We went snorkeling one day from Belizean Shores dock which was nice and used the free kayaks. We also took the water taxi into San Pedro one day for shopping and dinner. Mostly we enjoyed the lovely pool. All in all, your arrangements were excellent and we thank you very much. I would recommend you highly. Thanks for everything, Janet and Sharla.

Mauricio: Happy New Year to you~ We are safely home after a wonderful week in Belize and Guatemala. Everything went close to perfectly. Roberto, who was our guide in Caracol on Christmas Day and who also drove us to the Camino Real Tikal on the 26th was very very good.
We loved our tours to Caracol and Tikal. Bill was our guide in Tikal and he was also extremely knowledgeable. We had a great day snorkeling with Tony. Both the Ka'Ana and the Belize Legacy were new places, and that showed a bit in the service at the Ka'Ana restaurant initially and in some areas at the Belize Legacy, but all in all they were great choices.
Our kids really loved the Camino Real Tikal. It was really nice to be on the lake and enjoy the pool and the lake. We would very much consider booking another Latin Discover vacation, if our travels bring us to Central America any time soon. Thank you so much for all your work putting our trip together. Best for 2008. Susan and Family.
