PAYMENTS
- To assure space, all reservations require a minimum deposit of:
Individuals 35% of the total rice of the tour
Groups 45% of the total price of the tour
-Reservations made nn days to 120 days before the departure of the tour:
A deposit will be received up to 8 days after the date of the reservation.
The remainder must be paid 60 days before the departure of the tour.
- Reservations made 119 to 60 days before the departure of the tour:
A deposit will be received immediately.
The remainder must be paid 60 days before the departure of the tour.
-Reservations made 59 days to 1 day before the departure of the tour:
Payment in full must be received immediately.
CANCELLATIONS
1. Cancellations made 181 days or more before the cruise will be penalized $75 per person.
2. Cancellations made 180 to 120 days before the cruise will be penalized $275 per person.
3. Cancellations made 119 to 60 days before the cruise will be penalized 50% of the price of the tour.
4. Cancellations made up to 59 days before the day of departure will not receive a refund.
CANCELLATIONS DUE TO ILLNESS
If a cancellation is made up to 31 days before the cruise because of illness, only 50% of the total price will be charged after receiving the medical notification of the illness (a medical certificate signed by the attending physician). This certificate must be sent to our Company within 24 hours of having notified the cancellation. If the certificate is not received within this period, 100% of the total price will be charged.
If the cancellation due to illness is made 30 days to 1 day before departure the 100% will be charged; even though the medical certificate was sent.
CHILDREN’S FARES (available only for cruises on the Sea Man Yacht)
-This fare requires that the child be accompanied by an adult (parent). Up to two children (7 years old) may be accepted per adult. The fare applies to children up to 11 years, 11 months and 29 days of age.
-During high season, no discounts will be available for children. During low season, a 20% discount per child of gross rate will be allowed. Maximum 4 children will be allowed per cruise.
-When a group of children is accompanied by adults, the charter fee will be applied.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is advisable not to travel with children under 7. In the case they decide to travel, they will under their parents’ responsibility. Galacruises and the vessels are not responsible for the personal security of the children.
CHARGES FOR LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS OF AIRLINE RESERVATIONS
If after having reconfirmed a ticket for a flight to Galapagos with a connection to one of our cruises, we are informed at the last minute that the passenger is not going to fly or if the passenger does not appear at the airport, a $25 fee plus IVA tax will be charged for “no show”.
