M/V Galapagos Sky
The live-aboard M/V Galapagos Sky (formerly the SkyDancer) is a 100 ft. (33m) state-of-the-art live-aboard diving yacht exploring the fabled waters of the Galapagos Islands.
Designed by DivEncounters President Peter Hughes and current owner Santiago Dunn in the year 2000, and launched in 2001 – “Sky” hosts 16 passengers in 8 luxury cabins. Built to exceed any/all international safety standards, Sky is not only your live-aboard dive platform to the undersea wonders of Galapagos – but also has the crew, chefs, and amenities for you to enjoy five-star service during your entire trip.
Accommodations include eight private en-suite cabins with two twin or one king size bed options. Each cabin features a private head/shower, mirrored cabinet and wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer and biodegradable, marine safe toiletries.
Public areas and Services Diving
The elegant M/V Galapagos Sky is fully air conditioned and features a spacious lounge area and fine dining area. Two dive masters and up to four dives a day ensure that your voyage will have ample underwater time to discover the magic of Galapagos diving.
: Galapagos Sky’s 7 night itinerary offers a total of approximately 21 dives and 3 land excursions, and covers 565.5 nautical miles of ocean. It has two days with long navigations (15 hours from Wolf to North Seymour and back). Tender diving is the rule rather than the exception. There will be up to four dives per day at Wolf and Darwin. The first two days and last two days will be a combination of shore excursions with 2-3 dives per day. Most dives are drift dives along the cliff faces of off-shore rocks and pinnacles
