The Diamante is the perfect solution for individuals, small- or family- groups who seek a more personalized experience. Passengers will enjoy the beauty of a motor sailing yacht for 12 passengers in six double cabins with private facilities: one cabin with two berths, two cabins with upper/lower berth and three cabins with double lower and single upper berths.

Also offers air conditioning, hot water, mini-bar, a small library, VCR and music sound-system. A cozy yet ample saloon/dinette invites you to read, chat or attend the briefings and lectures given by your naturalist-guide or… you may opt to dine-and-wine topside “al-fresco” on her sheltered poop-deck. One bright and airy deckhouse with main salon and dining area. She also has an “under-the-canopy” dining-area topside. Icemaker, stereo, TV, VCR, 2 kayaks and cell phone/fax.

Diamante: day by day itinerary

Day #1 Departure from Quito via Guayaquil. Arrival at Baltra airport and transfer by our guide to the yacht. Snack and orientation while traveling to nearby North Seymour Island. Approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours shore visit to observe sea lions, blue footed-boobies, magnificent frigate birds and, if time permits, snorkeling.

Day #2 Am: Santa Cruz Island, , journey into the highlands. A point of interest is the famed lava tunnels, a fun and geologically informative visit. Pm: Puerto Ayora: Charles Darwin Research Station and walk through town (souvenir shopping if desired) 3 hours.

Day #3 Am: Punta Suarez: Large colonies of blue-footed boobies, masked boobies, marine iguanas, albatrosses, swallow-tailed gulls, 3-4 hours. Pm: Gardner Bay (Hood Island). Snorkeling at beach and panga ride 21/2 hours.

Day #4 Am: Punta Cormorant (Floreana) Visit of a lagoon, where we find flamingoes and other birds, beautiful white sand beach where sea turtles nest, snorkeling at Devil's crown. 3 hours. Pm: Post Office Bay (Floreana). Short visit to the historic Post Office Barrel. Early departure to the island Isabela looking for whales and dolphins while we travel.

Day #5 Am: Punta Moreno (Isabela) 3 hours walk, lava fields, flamingo lagoons, some cormorants and penguins. Pm: Bahia Elizabeth: Panga ride, penguins, cormorants, sea turtles, quiet mangrove lagoons. 3 hours.

Day #6 Am: Urbina Bay: Relatively long walk to see land iguanas and marine iguanas, variety of native and endemic plants, remains of raised seabed exposing corral heads and other marine fossils.
Nesting cormorants and sometimes a few Galapagos Tortoises in their natural habitat. 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Pm: Punta Espinosa (Fernandina Island). Large colonies of marine iguanas, flightless cormorants nesting, penguins, baby sea lions, snorkeling. 2 hours.

Day #7 Am: Puerto Egas (Santiago). Coastal walk exploring the great variety of tidal marine life, Galápagos fur seals. Swimming and snorkeling - 3 hours. Pm: Bartholomew: Walk to get panoramic view of Bartholomew and it's famous Pinnacle Rock. Swimming and snorkeling. Possibility to see more penguins. 3 hours

Day #8 Am: Black Turtle Cove, we will take you into a tidal lagoon to see three kinds of mangrove plants, red, white and black. White-tipped sharks, spotted rays, mustard rays and Pacific marine turtles frequent the waters here. Return to Baltra in time for flight to mainland Ecuador.

*This is the normal itinerary approved by the Galápagos National Park. The time spent at each place will depend on the variety of wildlife present, weather conditions etc. and decided by the guide and captain on board. These tours are subject to alteration in case of changes by the authorities of the Galápagos National Park and acts of providence!

*Three meals a day are included in the tour - breakfast before the land visit, lunch after the first excursion and dinner at night.

Diamante: terms & conditions

1.- Once the reservation has been confirmed, you have one week to send us a 15% deposit to guarantee the booking.
2.- We require the full payment 45 days before the operation of the cruise.
3.- If a space is cancelled between the day of reconfirmation and 61 days prior to the cruise date, there will be a handling fee of US$200,00 per reservation.
4.- If the cancellation has been done between 60 and 31 days prior to the operation of the cruise, the 15% deposit will be charged as cancellation fee.
5.- If the cancellation has been done within 30 days of the date of operation, we will charge the full amount of the cruise.
