Argentina trip, Regina Kiewiet (from Aruba) - May 14, 2012

Hi Sandra!

The trip was very good, I love it. There were some minor things that would have been better, but in general I was really satisfied with the service.

The hotels were amazing! Especially Esplendor in Calafate and The Jungle Lodge in Iguazu were amazing. The trip itself was amazing too, I have nothing to say, except that I really would go back another time!

Thanks for the help, I will recommend you guys with my friends!
Greetings, Regina

Brazil trip, Sebastian Pusch (from Germany) - May 14, 2012

Hi Laura,

how are you ?

Regarding my trip to Brasil:

The organisation was perfect like always!

The most of the hotels were pretty good. I really like the one on Morro de Sao Paulo, just fantastic, I really can recommend that one. The accommodation in Salvador de Bahia was great as well.

In general it was a nice trip with a perfect organisation, but I enjoyed Peru and Bolivia more, I mean my last trip was by far better.

What do you think how much time does it take for you to plan my trip to Patagonia ?

All the best
Sebastain

Costa Rica trip, Pat Norman (from Canada) - May 8, 2012

Alan,
We had a great vacation. It was rushed to fit so much in to one week so there were no sleep ins; but that is the kind of vacation we enjoy. Saw lots of birds and enjoyed a variety of weather and geography.

We would definitely contact you regarding future vacation plans to Latin America. There was one glitch regarding transfer back to San Jose but it was resolved within one hour and we probably got back to San Jose faster than had we taken the original van. We were impressed with the speed and attention given us to resolve the issue. We were very satisfied with our trip and your arrangements. If I had to take this trip again I would extend it for a few more days as we would have like to spend more time at Arenal and in the cloudforests area around Monteverde.

Hi Mauricio,

I really enjoyed my trip in Peru.  First of all, I would like to thank you for your good service, your prompt action to handle my request for this trip. I am also satisfied with the overall arrangement and services provided by your local operator. I do appreciate your suppliers attitude on handling feedback.

This trip gave me a good experience. I will contact you again if I have another plan to South America in the future.

Many Thanks,

Peru trip, Estelle V (from South Africa) - April 12, 2012

Hi Mauricio,

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Cusco and Macchu Picchu. It was an amazing experience. The accommodation was superb and service excellent. The guides were good and knowledgable. I missed my connecting flight on the 30th due to overbooking, but was put on a different flight, and things worked out in the end.

Other than that everything went well. I would like to do a proper tour of Peru next year either May or September. I would like to revisit Macchu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the canyon, glaciers etc. and also if possible go to Patagonia. What time will be best?

Thanks again for everything.

Argentina trip, Norman C (from USA) - March 30, 2012

If you visit the end of the world there are a couple of really greats attractions in Ushuaia you don''''''''t want to miss.

Do walk to the Glacier at the foot of the Mountain. The view is outstanding as you look out over the Beagle Channel. You can take a chair lift part of the way, but you still have to walk an hour to get to the actual glacier.

Take a boat tour of the Channel, you will see lots of marine life including seals, birds, and potentially whales. Although we did not see whales while we were on the tour.

Go to Ramos bar for a beer or deserts, They have a great local Beagle channel micro brew. The atmosphere is excellent with lots of old antiques from years gone by. You may also run into folks returning from trips to Antarctica which makes for great conversation.

While you are downtown you can get your passport stamped at the visitor center with an end of the world stamp. There is another location to do this inside the national park too.

We were there as part of a Latin Discover 15 day adventure so we only had 2 nights and a day there, but you could easily spend a week there if you like outdoor activities. LatinDiscover.com did an excellent job of planing the entire trip and ensuring that you were met by knowledgeable and helpful tour guides and staff. I cant say enough positive things about the LatinDiscover service.

Mauricio took care of all the organization, including hotels, flights, tours, and reservations. I would highly recommend him for any South American tours.

Argentina trip, Norman C (from USA) - March 20, 2012

Hey Mauricio,

Thank you again for planning an outstanding and adventurous experience for Melanie and me. It was truly amazing! I will definitely recommend you and Argentina to my friends and to my Trip Adviser readers.

We visited the Glacier as part of a LatinDiscover.com tour. It was one of the highlights of the entire trip. El Calfate is a great little town in the middle of the dessert where it can be unbelievably hot!! Then you drive for about 1.5 hours to the Glacier where the temperature is perfect and trees and mountains surround you. The Glacier is so amazing! We stopped and did a short boat tour for approximately 1 hour and then went to the park center where there are three different hikes you can take to view the Glacier by land.

Some of the area is wheel chair accessible, but other parts can only be done on foot. Be prepared to take lots of pictures. It is truly amazing. I didn''''t find any of the walks overly difficult. Do bring your own water and snacks if possible as there store is quite pricy.

There is so much to do in EL Calafate you could spend a week there too. Most of the things are outdoor oriented such as hiking and rock climbing. The town is growing and I highly recommend seeing it before it turns into a Banff like town in Canada. You can already see the high end stores, restaurants and hotels popping up.  I can’t say thanks enough.

Chile trip, Carla C (from South Africa) - March 14, 2012

Hi Laura

Mr Alexander had a great time. He loved all the hotels, he didn`t like Santiago very much (the city that is). But all in all, everyone was very friendly, very lovable and gave him lots of hugs especially the young policeman in Valparaiso.

Once again, a job well done. Thanks for all your assistance, all tour operators, hotels and service was very good. Mr. Alexander will return to Chile but combine it with Argentina Alps and make it a much slower itinerary.

Kind regards,
Carla

Argentina trip, Ron H (from USA) - March 2, 2012

Laura:

Overall we had a very good time, and the services provided through Latin Discover were also very good.

First - airport pickup and delivery service in all locations was very good. We greatly appreciated the assistance in dealing with travel delays experienced by two of our travel mates in their arrival from the United States.

Second - the tours in Buenos Aires were very good, and we enjoyed the people who served as our guides.

Iguazu Falls were marvelous, and I would encourage all of your Argentine travelers to include that destination in their travel plans. After being there and speaking with guides, we would also advise that travelers are well served by only doing the Argentina side of the falls, and not to bother with Brazil unless they have lots of time for making such a trip. The vast majority of the "views" of the falls are on the Argentina side, and the guides indicated that crossing the border to Brazil can be challenging. As you know, we opted NOT to go to Brazil and opted for the forest experience (zip line and rappeling - which was great!) instead - a good move on our part.

Our Mendoza experience was also very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our guide (Shayelle?) and our cycling escort (Santiago). All of the wineries were fabulous. We were tremendously impressed with our dinner at 1884, and our lunch/wine pairing at Ruca Malen. As to the cycling, everything went well - good equipment, enjoyable routes

The hotels were fabulous, especially Loi Suites in Iguazu. The "boutique" hotels in Chacras and at Postales were great - we enjoyed the more intimate settings and the interaction with the staff at both places.

As you can see from this long email - we had a great time, although a few things could have been better. We would definitely consider another Latin American trip using your services.

We have yet to review our thousands of pictures from the trip - I`ll send some along once we edit out all the bad shots!

Peru trip, Donald McLaughlin (from USA) - February 23, 2012

Hi Sandra,

We were very happy with your selection of hotels, especially Sol y Luna, but also the others. The guides were very good, too. And the information on your website and your responsiveness to our inquiries was very good.

We will definitely recommend your website for anybody planning to visit Peru.

Thank you, Don McLaughlin

Peru trip, Akil Lila (from Canada) - February 23, 2012

Hi Sandra,

The entire peru tour was fantastic. We enjoyed the tours thoroughly as well as the hotels. The only change we would have made would be to stay in ollantaytambo rather than away from town. The el Hacienda hotel was very nice but would rather have been in town rather than in remote location.

Thanks again for all the help and will definitely recommend you to friends.
